Danika Lamb is a professional makeup artist and licensed esthetician that has a true passion for style, beauty and anything that has to do with being creative. Her specialties are weddings and beauty/print work. She truly LOVES what she does and prides herself in offering stellar service to every single face that she works on.
At age 19, I started working for a makeup counter in a department store and LOVED being able to interact with customers about makeup and skincare. This then led me to attend school to get my esthetician license, which then led me to work for Kate Somerville, one of the most prominent skincare leaders in the industry. It was there that I grew as both an esthetician and a makeup artist, working on some of Hollywood’s most elite. That was pretty career defining, but another awesome moment was when I did the makeup for celebrity Mark-Paul Gosselaar's wedding, which was then published on ten pages of Inside Weddings Magazine, all TEMPTU was used for that wedding might I add.
I started airbrushing about five years ago. I took the class at TEMPTU and was hooked!
I love that you really can mix & match and custom blend each shade if needed. I love that you can slowly build up to your desired coverage and most of all, I LOVE that all my brides almost NEVER need a touch-up. TEMPTU doesn't budge! So fantastic for weddings. My tip for airbrushing with TEMPTU would be to practice until you get very comfortable with the application. Keep your wand moving and slowly build up to the desired coverage.
One of my favorite looks was last year for a cover shoot for Rue Magazine. The shoot was with former Miss USA 2009 (Kristen Dalton) and her fiancé. There were beautiful pops of vibrant pink all over, such a romantic and pretty feel.
For my kit I love all of my S/B Foundations, S/B Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer, TEMPTU BASE Smooth & Matte Primer, Coralista blush by Benefit, Laura Mercier's lip pencil in Naked and Ardell Lashes in 120's and 53's. For myself, Exfolikate by Kate Somerville, Laura Mercier Full Blown Mascara and Burts Bees 100% Natural Lip Shine.
Being that the Pantone color of 2014 is Radiant Orchid, I presume we will see a bit of this shade. Maybe little pops of lavender on the eyelids or a fun and vibrant orchid on the lips.
Always prep the skin and "less is more" when it comes to the makeup. I like to have a light hand and slowly layer the coverage. nder on the eyelids or a fun and vibrant orchid on the lips.
Buying my first ever lipstick when I was 13 and wearing it every single day in seventh grade! Not to mention is was fire engine red. (Ha).
For me it's all of the S/B Foundations. I work on so many weddings that they are an absolute must. They make the skin look flawless and they last all day.
