Temptu at New York Fashion Week Spring / Summer 09

Temptu made a big splash at New York Fashion Week this season, partnering with five knockout designers on their Spring/Summer 09 Collections. We were proud to collaborate with Trovata, Devi Kroell, Joanna Mastroianni, Liz McClean, and Venexiana on a wide breadth of beauty and body looks.

Bright bursts of color rule when Temptu designs the beauty look for Joanna Mastroianni’s Spring 09 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Red carpet designer Joanna Mastroianni debuted a sixties inspired collection with shorter hem heights and brighter colors for Spring. The collection included Correges-inspired silhouettes of black and white tailored swing coats and vivid, short shifts. Temptu Key Makeup Artist JP McCary created a beauty look to complement the collection with bright, vivid colors in hi-def airbrush makeup. Yellow and purple on the lids, pink on the cheek, and flawless foundation all using Temptu’s award-winning S/B makeup, topped off with Twiggy-esque eyelashes heavy on the top and bottom. Models walked down the runway fresh and bright, blooming as the first signs of spring.

Devi Kroell makes a splash with her first ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week, partnering with Temptu to achieve beauty perfection.

Award-winning accessories designer Devi Kroell launched her first womenswear collection to critical acclaim. Inspired by simplicity of form, tactile surfaces and exquisitely effortless shapes, Devi Kroell’s collection for Spring 09 gave a fresh vision of modern femininity that was architectural and a lesson in elegant restraint. Key Makeup Artist Lisa Butler created a modern minimalist beauty look that emphasized perfect unadorned skin, as flawless as the luxurious fabrications, accessorized by a strong black line around the eye. Temptu’s airbrush team created a perfect match foundation in Temptu S/B airbrush makeup for each model sweeping across the cheeks, lips and eyes, and setting the backdrop for dark, stern, liquid black eyes.

Making an unconventional entrance through a vintage white schoolbus, models donned John Whitledge’s Spring 2009 collection for Trovata. Preppy and nautically inspired, with an occasional period flair, the collection showcased the distinctly California casual flavor coupled with East Coast sophistication for which he is known.

Temptu Key Makeup Artist JP McCary lead a team of talented airbrush makeup artists to achieve a clean, natural look on the skin with pops of color for dramatic detail. The makeup was a perfect complement to the collection: An updated – and evolved - classic.

Temptu was proud to collaborate with New York designer Liz McClean for her Spring 2009 Collection. Temptu teamed up with McClean to create a limited edition temporary tattoo transfer featuring a selection of peace signs designed by model-turned-artist Fanny Bostrom.

Temptu hits the tents at Bryant Park for the Venexiana Spring 09 show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

When Kati Stern unveiled her Spring 2009 collection of gowns featuring feminine silhouettes and loads of embellishments, she knew where to come to give it a bit more of her signature rock n’ roll edge. Temptu’s Key Body Artist Jenai Chin added some extra sex appeal to the models strutting down the runway, using the Venexiana logo to run up the back of the legs, like a silk stocking. The result? The Ultimate Vixen.

Temptu collaborates with Mark Carrasquillo for Susan Cianciolo’s Fall 2008 Collection.

This year at New York Fashion Week, acclaimed Designer and Illustrator Susan Cianciolo continued to wow audiences with her earthy neo-gypsy designs. Temptu collaborated with Cianciolo and Key Makeup Artist Mark Carrasquillo to paint Man Ray-styled gloves on the models’ hands and ballet slippers that laced up their legs. Key Body Artist Jenai Chin led a team of talented airbrush makeup artists that would help bring this urban fantasy to life.

Behnaz Sarafpour's Fall 2008 Look

When celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman needed the most perfect, vivid color to achieve the dynamic eyes for Behnaz Sarafpour’s look, she knew exactly whom to call. Gucci requested Temptu airbrush makeup to get the perfect bright yellow eye shadow – from lid to lash – that would help bring Sarafpour’s Fall 2008 collection to life. Temptu sent airbrush makeup pro Jenai Chin to assist Gucci in applying this intense beauty look, and Gucci “couldn’t thank [us] enough” for our “support and generosity.”

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK, BENJAMIN CHO Fall 2008 collection

Temptu was proud to collaborate with New York fashion designer Benjamin Cho for his Fall 2008 Collection.

Temptu teamed up with Cho to create a limited edition temporary tattoo transfer featuring the art of downtown art sensation Dan Colen. Key Body Artist Jenai Chin lead a team applying the body makeup full sleeve look made of red lipstick kisses to top models Patricia Schmid and Milagros Schmoll.
