Get Excited for Fall!

September 9, 2010  |  NEW AT TEMPTU

Fall is finally upon us!  In true TEMPTU fashion we wanted to kick off the change in season a with a closer look at two of our favorite Fall/Winter makeup looks for 2010.  It’s time to get excited about the fast approaching cool weather and these even cooler makeup trends.

This Fall/Winter Season is all about bringing bold, beautiful color into your face.  Your summer glow may be fading but that’s no reason to let your look fade as well.  This was definitely the case with the look TEMPTU created for Abigail Lorick’s Fall 2010 collection.  For this collection Lorick was inspired by angels, cocoons, and the lightness of being and youth conveyed by a playful mix of fabrics and textures. Key makeup artist Cory Bishop took the lead for TEMPTU in creating a look befitting to an angel in dress up, with porcelain doll-like skin with bright accents of color in over-blushed cheeks and pouty pink lips.  An all over application of TEMPTU AIRbrush Foundation was used to brighten up the model’s complexion and give them that flawless porcelain look.  Blush was then added high on the cheekbones closer to the eye for a pop of color then followed with some touches of purple and gold around the eye.  “Blush is coming back for Fall and it’s playful and fresh — don’t be afraid of color,” says Bishop.  The end result was a warm, rosy-cheeked angel befitting both heaven and the trendiest places on Earth.

Though blush is big this season almost no trend is bigger then the perfect purple hued lip.  The neutral tones and reduction of elements that defined Alex Casertano’s first ready-to-wear collection really made the purple hued lip trend sing. Key makeup artist for TEMPTU Talia Shobrook designed a minimalist beauty look to compliment the collection that centered on flawless, healthy skin. “The AIRbrush is perfect for this because it has silicone in it, which instantly smoothed out the skin and made it look flawless,” said Shobrook.  “And on top of that using the highlighter just gave it that extra kick of dewiness.”  Shobrook used airbrush foundation and targeted highlighters to contour the face, topping it off with a perfect for fall wine-stained lip.  The end result was, as Talia Shobrook put it, a “Lower East Side Angel”.

If you love these looks as much as we do then come visit us in New York City this Friday for Fashion’s Night Out 2010.  The TEMPTU team will be at Sephora 5 Times Square helping all visitors achieve their very own flawless runway look.
