How to Apply Perfect Canvas Airbrush Foundation with Brush or Sponge

Prep your skin with Brilliant Glow: Illuminating Primer & Skin Perfector in your shade to create the perfect canvas for smoother, more even application.

Shake your Perfect Canvas Airbrush Foundation bottle for five seconds before each use.

Fingertip Application:
Dispense three-to-five drops of foundation on the back of your hand to warm up the formula. Use your clean fingertips to apply the foundation to your face, starting at the center and blending outward as you target the areas that need greater coverage and tapping out the areas that need less coverage. Perfect Canvas is lightweight and buildable, allowing you to customize your coverage.



Brush or Sponge Application:

Apply five-to-seven drops of foundation to the back of your hand to warm up the formula.

Pick up foundation with your brush or damp beauty sponge.

Starting in the center of the face and working outward, blend onto skin using a light bouncing motion with your sponge or using small strokes with your brush to blend product evenly.

Blend well into jawline and out towards hairline to ensure even coverage.

  • Use 5-7 drops for sheer coverage.
  • Use 7-9 drops for medium coverage.
  • Apply another layer for full coverage.

Q. Is the formula thick?

A: Perfect Canvas Foundation has been formulated and tested to work best with TEMPTU compressors and airbrush guns therefore, it will not be too thick when used with the proper equipment.

Q. Can I clean my airbrush with water while using this formula?

A: No - when using this formula, your airbrush device should only be cleaned with a silicone-based cleanser. We recommend our S/B Airbrush Cleanser or 99% Alcohol.

Q. Will the formula clog my machine?

A: For best results, we recommend using our Airpod Pro in combination with the TEMPTU Air, TEMPTU One or 2.0 Airbrush Makeup System or Airpod Pro and the TEMPTU Pro Plus or S-One Compressor with the appropriate Airpod Airbrush.

Q. Do I need a TEMPTU machine to use this product? Can it be hand applied?

A: For the best results, we recommend using our Airpod Pro in combination with the TEMPTU Air, TEMPTU One or TEMPTU 2.0 Airbrush Makeup System or Airpod Pro and the TEMPTU Pro Plus or S-One Compressor with the appropriate Airpod Airbrush. A: No - Perfect Canvas can only be mixed with other silicone-based formulas. Mixing this formula with water and/or water-based formulas will create an oily effect on the skin and cause your airbrush device to clog.

A: Yes - our Perfect Canvas Foundation is a thinner formula than our S/B Foundation.

    "I am extremely disappointed with Temptu Airbrush overall. Firstly, a significant amount of foundation is required which results in a significant amount of waste. I have used airbrush makeup for several years and have found Dinair to be a superior product with very little waste. Constantly having to purchase Temptu foundation due to the waste is useless and I find the foundation itself to be extremely heavy and chalky looking despite using the product correctly. Settles in wrinkles making them more pronounced. If too little foundation is used, application is impossible; basically needs a minimum of 8 drops of foundation. A bottle of Dinair foundation lasted me at least 3 months. I'm lucky if the Temptu foundation lasts 2 weeks. The cleaner does not last very long either. Complete waste of money."

    I have sensitive skin. I cannot use any makeup with fragrance or extracts. Has anyone used this and broken out with a rash? I have a wedding coming up and the makeup artist uses this line.

    Are the names of Perfect Canvas and S/B match with the color too? Or they are just same names but with different color? For example, "Ivory" in Perfect canvas is the same color with S/B, and "Toffee" in Perfect canvas is the same color in S/B (even though the number is different).

    Hello, I love this foundation. My skin is a close match to the .5c Alabaster, but since it is so thick, I have been mixing the 1N Porcelain color with the white color adjusters that are available from the S/B line. Even though this makes it a bit more manageable, I am still wasting a lot of product unfortunately because it is so thick that it sticks around the inside of the airbrush feed cup, and won't drain down to the hole in the bottom, even if I try to push it. Is there a trick to thinning it out a bit, like is there something I can mix into it, or would it mess with the formula if I warmed the bottle of foundation up in warm water before putting it into the airbrush? Any info would be appreciated! Thank you!
